Product description

Nobivac® Intra-Trac® 3

Manufacturer: Intervet/Merck Animal Health

Canine Adenovirus Type 2-Parainfluenza-bordetella Bronchiseptica Vaccine

Modified Live Virus and Avirulent Live Culture

THIMEROSAL FREE

For Intranasal Use In Dogs Only

Product Description: Nobivac® Intra-Trac® 3 vaccine is recommended for the prevention of disease associated with canine adenovirus type 2, canine parainfluenza virus, and Bordetella bronchiseptica infection in healthy dogs 3 weeks of age or older. These agents contribute to canine kennel cough.

When To Vaccinate: Vaccinate dogs at 3 weeks of age or older. Annual revaccination with one dose is recommended. An appropriate revaccination program should be based on veterinarian-client-patient relationships, following the American Veterinary Medical Association's advice on Vaccination Principles.

Preparation Of The Vaccine:

  1. Hold the vaccine vial upright. Flip the top up and pull to the left to remove the seal. Remove, but do not discard, the rubber stopper.
  2. Hold the nasal applicator upright. If the diluent is in the neck, tap it into the chamber. Remove the tip of the applicator.
  3. Insert the nasal applicator into the upright vaccine vial.
  4. Gently squeeze the diluent from the applicator into the vaccine vial. Do not discard the applicator.
  5. Replace the rubber stopper and shake the vial until the vaccine is rehydrated.
  6. Remove the stopper and insert the nasal applicator into the vial again.
  7. Squeeze and release the applicator to draw the rehydrated vaccine into it.
  8. Slide a nasal disk over the neck of the applicator. The vaccine is now ready for use.

Dosage and Administration: The recommended dose is 0.5 mL of rehydrated vaccine administered intranasally using the enclosed nasal applicators. Squeeze the applicator to squirt the vaccine into one or both nostrils of the dog.

Cautions:

  • This product is for intranasal use only with the enclosed applicators. Systemic reactions from intramuscular or subcutaneous injection may include vomiting, diarrhea, lethargy, jaundice, and liver failure. If inadvertent injection occurs, monitor the dog closely and provide supportive therapy.
  • Mild canine cough syndrome may occur post-vaccination.
  • For veterinary use only. Store at 2° - 7°C (35° - 45°F). Use entire contents when first opened. Burn the container and any unused contents.
  • This vaccine contains penicillin, streptomycin, and nystatin as preservatives.
  • Not for parenteral use.
