The Thermo-Kitty bed has a dual thermostat 4-watt heating unit buried deep within its thick, super soft, orthopedic foam base. It warms the surface 10°-15° F above ambient air temperature to a cat pleasing 102° F when in use (which is a cat, or dog, natural temperature).This product can be plugged in all day, but it is recommended to unplug it anytime you are away from your home since it does not have a on/off button. Keep in mind that extension cords are not chew proof, and use may change the wattage, resulting in failure or poor performance.
Great for small dogs too.
