Product Description:

Imrab® 3 contains the same virus strain used in the Pasteur Merieux Connaught human vaccine. The virus is grown in a stable cell line, inactivated, and mixed with a safe and potent adjuvant. Safety and immunogenicity of this product have been demonstrated by vaccination and challenge tests in susceptible animals.

Indications:

Imrab® 3 is recommended for the vaccination of healthy cats, dogs, sheep, cattle, horses, and ferrets 12 weeks of age and older to prevent disease due to rabies virus.

Dosage and Administration:

• Aseptically inject 1 mL (1 dose) subcutaneously or intramuscularly into healthy cats or dogs
• Aseptically inject 2 mL into healthy sheep, cattle, and horses.
• Aseptically inject 1 mL subcutaneously into healthy ferrets.
• Revaccinate ferrets, cattle, and horses annually; cats, dogs, and sheep 1 year after the first vaccination, then every 3 years.

Precautions:

• Store at 2-8°C (35-46°F). Do not freeze.
• Do not vaccinate food-producing animals within 21 days prior to slaughter.
• Shake well before use. Use entire contents when first opened.
• Do not use chemicals to sterilize syringes and needles.
• Contains gentamicin and thimerosal as preservatives.
• Transient local reactions may occur at the injection site.
• In rare cases, vaccines may cause lethargy, fever, or hypersensitivity reactions, which may be treated with antihistamines, anti-inflammatories, and/or epinephrine.
